How we check
We answer for an exact vehicle configuration: model year, make, model, how you start it and any other detail that changes the install. One configuration can have several documented setups from different brands.
What each answer means
Supported by a documented setupA reviewed manufacturer guide or a reviewed installer report documents a setup for this configuration, and no reviewed source conflicts. It does not mean we installed it ourselves.
More vehicle details neededYour answers match more than one configuration. We need another detail before choosing one, even if they all have a documented setup.
UnverifiedA manufacturer lists this configuration, but we have not reviewed an install guide or installer report for it. This answer does not establish whether remote start will work.
No supported option found in the sources checkedEvery reviewed source says no for this configuration. An installer may know other options. None of our current configuration records has this answer.
Evidence is separate from the answer
Manufacturer guide reviewed identifies the official guide, pages reviewed and recorded review date. Our initial guide reviews cover page 1, not the entire guide.
Manufacturer guide reviewed: Listed in Fortin install guide #20871 as of · page 1
Manufacturer listing seen identifies a vehicle listing and the date it was seen. A listing alone is not a documented setup.
Manufacturer listing seen: Fortin vehicle page, checked
Installer-reported installation records the installer, installation month, report date and our review date. Reports from YYC AutoTech would identify the installer and carry a founder's business label. No installer reports have been added.
Why a supported answer can have a missing field
The answer is for the vehicle configuration. Each equipment or transmission field has a separate status:
- Stated in source: the recorded value is shown.
- Not stated in the guide page we reviewed: that field was not listed on the page. Missing firmware reads “Minimum firmware: not listed on guide”.
- Not part of this setup: a wired installation may have no T-harness listed.
- Not reviewed yet: we have not reviewed that field.
Control methods, key limits and what happens when you enter the vehicle say “Not yet verified for this setup” until evidence is reviewed. Your installer must check the full current guide, exact configuration and safety requirements.
Review dates and corrections
A rebuild or design change never updates a source review date. A new review must have a dated review-log entry with a reason. Legacy dates identify the review recorded in our original data; importing those records was not a new review.
We currently have 941 supported and 635 not yet verified vehicle configurations. See coverage and gaps. Report a mistake or request a review.
Independence
We link to official sources and use our own wording and grouping. We do not host manufacturer PDFs, diagrams or wiring instructions. Brand names identify sources and equipment. Installer payments do not change answers or evidence.
